Role: Junior Project Manager - Manufacturing Contract Length: 12-month daily rate contract Location: Sydney Organisation A leading manufacturing organisation is undertaking a major transformation program focused on consolidating and optimising manufacturing sites. To support this initiative, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of workstreams related to the consolidated manufacturing facility. Reporting into a Senior Project Manager, this role will suit someone early in their project management career with exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or operations-led environments. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating project activities related to site consolidation and facility optimisation. Assist with planning and tracking project milestones, schedules, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams. Coordinate inputs from engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and external partners to support layout and material flow initiatives. Assist with documentation and governance activities, including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and steering committee materials. Support layout and material flow initiatives across: Saw Area and Production Areas Warehouse and Despatch operations Integration of equipment, workflows, and consolidated operations Facilitate communication between shop-floor teams, engineering specialists, and project stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with manufacturing excellence and Lean principles. Key Skills & Experience Early-career project management experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, operations, or industrial environments. Understanding of manufacturing operations, factory layouts, or material flow concepts (hands-on expertise not required). Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail. Exposure to project governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Comfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environment with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
