Senior Project Engineer Opportunity McConnell Dowell are growing across NSW and are seeking to add an experienced Senior Project Engineer to the business. This role will see you working on complex infrastructure packages within large-scale civil environments. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key project packages, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in successful project delivery across planning, commercial and site operations. About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of utilities work packages from procurement through to delivery and close-out. Key responsibilities include: Lead delivery of major utilities packages across water, sewer, stormwater, power and communications infrastructure Manage subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification Oversee planning, programming and short-term lookaheads in coordination with the construction team Drive procurement of materials and subcontract works in alignment with program requirements Manage variations, cost forecasting and monthly reporting for assigned work packages Ensure compliance with TfNSW, Sydney Water and other authority requirements Lead site inspections, quality control processes (ITPs, lot closures, NCRs) and commissioning activities Mentor and support Project Engineers and Site Engineers About You Minimum 6 years post-graduate experience in civil construction or utilities infrastructure Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline Proven experience delivering utilities packages on major road, rail or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of authority approvals, design coordination and live services interfaces Sound commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and subcontractor claims High level communication skills with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders and site teams Proficient in project systems including MS Project / Primavera P6 (desirable) What We Offer Exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects across Sydney Strong pipeline of secured work Supportive leadership team and career progression opportunities Competitive salary package About Us McConnell Dowell – Creative Construction Our purpose is Providing a Better Life.
