As a member of the ski patrol team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring efficient, professional and safe operation of the cross-country trails, delivery of first aid and evacuation services and customer service daily. Manage and risk assess the ski and snow play areas. Incident Response and First Aid - Respond to incidents, including providing first aid, dealing with skier collisions, and transporting guests to the medical centre, their accommodation, or the bottom of a lift. Resort and Trail Operations - Assist with the opening and closing of the resort or trails as appropriate to the conditions. Boundary Marking and Maintenance - Deploy and maintain ski area boundary marking. Dispatch Operations - Undertake dispatch operator duties when requested, to ensure a coordinated deployment of team members around the mountain. Risk Management and incident investigation – Conduct incident investigations, including taking photos, interviewing witnesses and completing accurate report documentation Provide excellent customer service to guests at all times, with helpful information and details about the resort and services. Be able to work in varying weather conditions. Work with a small and inclusive team to deliver exceptional service and product to our guests at Mount Stirling, all whilst working in a pristine alpine environment. Key Selection Criteria Experienced Ski Patrol and grooming ASPA Advanced Emergency Care first aid qualification Advanced cross-country skiing ability Extensive practical first aid experience Use of ropes for climbing or rescue (desirable) Knowledge of Mt Stirling, community, attractions and services Available to work weekends and school holidays Available from June to 30 September (or the declared snow season) The successful candidate will be required to: Have full Australian working rights. Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type Have a current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence. Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
