A well-established specialist plastic surgery practice in Mount Lawley is seeking an experienced Senior Surgical Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join their small professional team. Permanent part-time role, approximately 2-3 days per week and would suit an experienced surgical medical administrator who enjoys a varied role combining patient care, administration and practice coordination within a specialist surgical environment. About You To be successful in this position you will bring: Minimum two years' experience working within a specialist surgical practice Strong organisational and time-management skills Confidence managing patient bookings (including theatre), billing and administrative workflows A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities A proactive and reliable work style Experience with Shexie software will be highly regarded, or with proficiency in Genie, Gentu or similar specialist practice software . Previous experience working within a plastic surgery practice will be highly regarded given the complexity of procedural billing. Candidates whose experience is limited to general practice reception will not be suitable for this role. The Role Working closely with the surgeon and support team, this position will involve a broad range of responsibilities supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, including: Patient Coordination & Reception Managing patient enquiries via phone and email Scheduling consultations and procedures, including plastic surgery theatre bookings Maintaining patient appointment systems Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-practice experience Medical Administration Billing and invoicing Maintaining accurate patient records Managing patient recall systems General practice administration and correspondence Financial & Practice Support Monitoring and following up aged debtors Banking and basic financial reconciliation Assisting with GST reporting and financial administration Practice Coordination Assisting with staff rostering Supporting general HR and compliance administration Coordinating aspects of practice operations including OHS and insurance documentation This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys contributing to the overall efficiency of a specialist medical practice.
