Our client, Southern Pumping Specialists Pty Ltd, is seeking experienced Fitters to join their workshop team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of rotating and mechanical equipment to ensure customer assets are returned to service quickly and reliably. Key Responsibilities Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps and other rotating mechanical equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs or component replacements as required Use workshop machinery and tools such as lathes, welders, and other equipment to assist with repairs Test repaired equipment to ensure correct performance prior to dispatch Receive and log repairable equipment accurately upon arrival Strip down equipment for assessment and forward findings for quotation Source parts and arrange subcontract services where required Prepare completed jobs for freight and dispatch Maintain a tidy, organised, and efficient workshop environment Follow job tagging, reporting, and workplace safety procedures Assist team members on larger jobs when required Requirements 2–3 years or more experience in a similar role Mechanical trade qualification or equivalent Experience working with pumps, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical systems preferred Ability to operate workshop tools and equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Good attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to follow workplace health and safety procedures Reliable team players with a professional attitude What They Offer Stable workshop-based positions Supportive team environment Opportunities to further develop mechanical repair skills
