Manufacturing accountant role where finance meets operations Influence how a growing business runs, not just how it reports Work directly with executive leadership while shaping systems, processes and performance About the opportunity An established Australian business is entering a new chapter of operational and financial maturity. With strong foundations already in place, the next phase is about strengthening how financial insight connects with operational decision making across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and Financial Controller, this role sits at the centre of the business where finance, production and supply chain intersect. You will step into a leadership position where success comes from developing a deep operational understanding of how the business runs, how materials move through the organisation and how costs are generated across the supply chain. This is not a desk-bound finance role. You will spend meaningful time embedded within operations, building credibility with production teams and developing the level of commercial insight required to influence better decision making across the business. Early success will come from mapping the flow of raw materials and finished goods, strengthening visibility of manufacturing costs, improving inventory oversight and identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes. Over time you will lead improvements in operational reporting, introduce automation where systems remain manual and strengthen coordination between finance, production and supply chain teams. The role is designed to evolve into broader financial leadership, working closely with the Financial Controller across management reporting, compliance and operational finance. About you You are a qualified accountant from a manufacturing, industrial or operational finance environment where inventory, materials management and production costs sit at the centre of business performance. You have worked closely with operational teams and understand how materials flow through a business, how production operates and how costs are generated across the supply chain. You bring strong capability in manufacturing costing, financial analysis and operational reporting. You are comfortable working with production, operations and supply chain teams to strengthen visibility of manufacturing costs, improve inventory oversight and support better operational decision making. You are naturally curious about systems and enjoy identifying opportunities to streamline processes, introduce automation and improve the quality of financial and operational data available to leadership. Most importantly, you are someone who builds credibility through contribution. You are comfortable spending time in operational environments, engaging directly with production teams and influencing improvements where systems and processes are still evolving. You bring the maturity and resilience required to navigate established team dynamics while gradually expanding your influence across the business. Whats on offer This opportunity offers far more than a traditional accounting role. You will step into a position where finance is directly connected to operational performance and where your insight will influence how the business operates day to day. You will work directly alongside the CEO and senior leadership team in a hands-on environment where ideas move quickly into action. The organisation offers the scale of an established business with the agility of an entrepreneurial leadership culture, creating a setting where strong performers can make visible impact. The role provides exposure across operations, supply chain and executive decision making, while offering significant scope to improve systems, strengthen operational reporting and lead meaningful process improvements. For the right individual, this role also represents a genuine leadership pathway. As the business continues to evolve, there is a clear opportunity to expand your influence and grow into broader financial leadership responsibilities over time.
