Description About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance Investments team on an 18-month contract. Specialising in Infrastructure Investments, you’ll gain exposure to the dynamic investment management industry while making a meaningful impact on our investment strategies. In this hands-on role, you will support QIC’s investment capability from a back-office capacity, handling various day-to-day operational elements across QIC’s Finance Investments function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all reporting deliverables. Key responsibilities: Record and process investment-related transactions and valuations in the eFrontInvest system. Ensure compliance with investment mandate obligations and internal controls. Monitor and reconcile cash flow requirements and balances. Prepare month-end workpapers and unit pricing. Reconcile key balances and investment data. Assist with reporting obligations and year-end financial reporting and audits. Support and collaborate with senior team members on operational tasks and reporting activities. About you You will be someone who actively engages with the business, with a passion for bringing numbers to life. Ideally you will have a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to adapt and understand activities at the enterprise and process level, bringing alignment to best practice and will likely meet the following criteria: Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Commerce, or equivalent. Completing or completed CA or CPA qualification. Exceptional analytical skills, with a knack for solving complex problems and managing multiple priorities seamlessly. High standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and a willingness to master new systems. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to build relationships across teams. While it would be viewed favourably, investment industry experience is not a prerequisite to succeed in this role.
