FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - CANBERRA Robert Half is working with a growing organisation operating across multiple entities, currently undergoing a period of expansion and operational change. This role offers the chance to join a developing finance function and contribute to both day-to-day reporting and broader process improvement initiatives. The Role This is a hands-on Financial Accountant position supporting core financial reporting, compliance, and reconciliation activities within a multi-entity environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders while contributing to process improvement and system efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports Prepare journals, including accruals and prepayments Perform balance sheet reconciliations across key accounts Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations Assist with indirect tax reporting and compliance requirements Contribute to audit preparation and liaise with external auditors Maintain financial data integrity and support reporting accuracy Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls Provide general support across finance operations as required About You Essential CA or CPA qualified (or working towards) Experience in financial accounting or audit Strong reconciliation and reporting skills Understanding of core accounting principles and compliance Exposure to multi-entity or group structures Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Desirable Experience within a fast-paced or evolving environment Exposure to ERP or cloud-based accounting systems Involvement in process improvement initiatives This is a hybrid position.
