About the Project / Program This position sits within the Land Communications & Specialist Systems SPO (LCSS SPO) Communications Delivery Team (CDT), supporting delivery of LAND 4140. The role supports planning, acquisition, integration, testing, introduction into service (IIS), and transition to sustainment of Land C4 Materiel Systems. The Land C4 Capability System (LC4CS) includes: Battlefield Telecommunications Network (BTN) Tactical Communications Network (TCN) Battlefield Management System (BMS) Deployable Information Environment (DIE) – Protected and Secret The CDT is acquiring new BTN and TCN capability for integration into LC4CS. The Project Manager will support delivery across multiple work packages in parallel, coordinating with Army HQ, CASG, and industry stakeholders. Role Overview This role plays a key part in supporting LAND 4140 Cabinet Submissions and associated procurement activity. Strong commercial acumen is required, including development of Procurement Plans, Endorsements to Proceed (ETPs), and risk assessments. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Support end-to-end delivery across multiple work packages Manage schedules, dependencies and critical path risks Manage contractor performance and change control Coordinate across delivery teams and technical stakeholders Planning, Controls & Governance Develop and maintain plans, schedules, risks and reporting Provide executive-level reporting Support Gate Reviews and senior submissions Contribute to procurement planning and approvals Integration & Technical Coordination Coordinate integration of SATCOM, BTN, and TCN systems Support AT&E / OT&E testing Work with engineering and ILS teams to resolve issues Stakeholder Engagement Engage with Army HQ, CASG and industry Drive alignment across complex stakeholder environments Sustainment Transition Ensure FIC elements are ready for IIS Support transition to sustainment (CA31) Manage transition risks and configuration baselines Experience & Skills Essential 12 years relevant experience Strong stakeholder engagement across Defence/CASG Demonstrated project management experience Desirable PRINCE2, PMI or AIPM certification Experience in SATCOM, networks, or C4 systems Knowledge of ASDEFCON, ILS and Defence frameworks Preferred Defence Experience Defence / CASG experience Army acquisition project experience Ideal Candidate Able to translate complex technical detail into delivery outcomes Strong collaborator across Defence and industry Comfortable in high-governance environments Capable of managing multiple concurrent work packages Strong understanding of sustainment and FIC
