About the Company Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation and a renowned Australian brand. They are looking to attract an immediately available Financial Accountant who is available for a 6 month contract (with potential for permanancy). You will have excellent reporting capabilities and be a confident communicator who can engage with and influence non-financial stakeholders. Additionally, you will possess an enthusiastic & ambitious attitude which allows you to work collaboratively within a high performing finance team. Job Description Reporting to the Finance Manager, the financial accountant will be directly responsible for: Monthly reporting and audit compliance Bank reconciliation Cash flow reporting for all Subsidiaries Preparation and submission of quarterly GST reporting Preparation of quarterly VAT reporting Administration of HSBC Credit Cards for all Subsidiaries Maintain Asset Register for all Subsidiaries Oversee the Goods Received (GR) /Invoice Received (IR) account for all Subsidiaries to minimize transactions older than 3 months Annual Audits – liaise with Subsidiary Company Auditors and assist with queries where required The Successful Applicant Our client is looking for a candidate who is ready to step up and succeed. Degree level qualifications in Accounting and working towards a CA / CPA membership are ideal. Strong technical accounting skills are important in this role, and they should be complimented with an analytical skillset. Most importantly, you must be a strong communicator with advanced excel skills who is not afraid to challenge themselves.
