Group wide Business & Finance Transformation Flexible hybrid working $600/650 pd super Senior Systems Engineer – DevOps (12-Month Contract) Location: Sydney | Hybrid (2 days on-site per week) | Rate: Up to $950/day We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer / DevOps engineer with a strong Linux and Unix background and Python coding skills. You will join a high-performing network engineering team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically complex environment and enjoys designing and delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions. What you’ll do Lead the design, development, and deployment of Operational Support Systems Supporting the Operational Systems across Linux Redhat, Windows, Docker, Kuberenetes and Unix Automation and building of MVs along with patching Coding using Python Work across the full lifecycle — requirements, architecture, implementation, optimisation, and maintenance. Build, configure, and support systems critical to large-scale network operations. Provide 3rd-level engineering support and mentor others within the broader technical team. Champion best practices in automation, security, and continuous integration. What you’ll bring You will be an experienced DevOps engineer from an infrastructure and Linux background ideally Expertise in Linux (Red Hat) with strong skills in virtualisation (VMware, OpenShift). Coding skills with any language but ideally Python Hands-on experience using Ansible and Python for automation and scripting. Solid understanding of ISP systems (DNS, Mail, RADIUS, load balancing) and TCP/IP networking. Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools, and modern development practices. Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and communication abilities. Minimum 10 years’ experience in systems engineering Must have full working rights in Australia and be based in Sydney – sponsorship is not available. Why join Competitive daily rate up to $950.
