The opportunity As a Conservation Team Member, you’ll play a hands on role in caring for some of our municipality’s most environmentally significant spaces. Working outdoors as part of a supportive and skilled team, you’ll help protect and enhance conservation reserves through practical works like weed control, revegetation and habitat management. You’ll also have opportunities to support community planting days and work with local volunteer groups. What you’ll be doing Undertaking conservation works including weed control, revegetation, mulching and plant care Maintaining conservation reserves in line with management plans and schedules Operating and maintaining light and heavy plant, machinery and equipment Working safely and professionally with minimal disruption to the public What you'll need to succeed Qualification in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or relevant practical experience Knowledge of conservation practices, including indigenous plant identification and weed management Experience working outdoors in physically demanding environments Ability to operate a range of mechanical plant and equipment Current Victorian Driver’s Licence (First Aid and ACUP desirable) To be considered for this role applications should include A maximum 2-page cover letter which should outline your interest in the role A current CV which includes key achievements & relevant qualifications Uncover more about this role in the Position Description attached below, or contact Rosalee Kennedy, Team Leader Conservation & Environment via careers@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au Applications will be accepted until 11:30pm on 22 March 2025 .
