HR at the Heart of a Complex Health Service This is not a back-office HR role. It is embedded, visible and relational. NHW is seeking a full-time People & Culture Advisor to support leaders and employees across a large and complex public health environment where people's decisions genuinely matter. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be a trusted point of contact for leaders navigating the realities of workforce management in healthcare. From performance concerns and sensitive conversations, to interpretation of enterprise agreements and supporting change, your role is to bring clarity, fairness and calm judgement when situations are not always straightforward. Rather than simply applying process, you will help leaders think clearly, act consistently and lead with confidence, even when the stakes are high. In this role, you will be trusted to: Be a steady and credible presence for leaders dealing with complex people matters Balance compliance and compassion in a highly regulated, unionised environment Support difficult conversations with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement Apply industrial instruments and legislation practically, not rigidly Contribute to a team that values consistency, trust and teamwork This is a role for someone who understands that good HR work often happens quietly, through relationships, judgement and the way advice is delivered. You will bring a qualification in HR and experience in a generalist or advisory HR role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
