The Role Position: Level 3 Security Officer Employment: Permanent Full Time – 76 hours per fortnight Roster: Rotating roster including days, evenings and nights Location: Coolangatta, Gold Coast Key Responsibilities Conduct internal and external security patrols Monitor CCTV systems and alarm responses Manage visitor access, staff access cards, and contractor passes Respond to perimeter breaches or unauthorised access Patrol car parks for unauthorised vehicles Operate intercom and access control systems Liaise with university staff and stakeholders Respond to medical incidents and emergencies Maintain accurate logs, reports, and security documentation Additional Duties Washing university vehicles (Saturdays) Assisting with room setups - moving table and chairs Mailroom support including signing for deliveries What We're Looking For Valid QLD Security Licence Current Senior First Aid Certificate Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) CCTV monitoring experience (highly regarded) Strong communication and observation skills A calm, professional approach in all situations Reliable with excellent attention to detail Why Join Certis?
