Duties and Responsibilities : Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer technical information. Carry out repairs and scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Perform logbook servicing and warranty repairs, ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements. Remove, dismantle, repair and replace engine assemblies, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking and ignition system components. Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct road tests to verify repair outcomes and vehicle functionality. Maintain accurate service records and document all work performed. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures. Provide technical guidance and assist apprentices in skills development and on-the-job training. Applicants must hold a relevant Cert. 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and have at least one years industry experience. A drivers licence is also essential.
