MSS Security is seeking a Security officer - Reliever for a casual role at the Federal Court in Townsville. Officers may be required to manage situations involving challenging behaviours in high-stress environments. This position requires a 24/7 availability, as there is no set roster. To stand out in this role, you will bring experience in a customer-facing position, strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations, a professional attitude and presentation, and the confidence and assertiveness to manage challenging situations effectively. Duties include but are not limited to: Collaborating with court staff and law enforcement to manage high-risk situations. Responding quickly and appropriately to incidents involving disruptive or aggressive behaviour. Ensuring the safety and security of both visitors and staff within the court environment. Screening individuals entering the court building and ensuring compliance with all security protocols. Monitoring and overseeing courtroom security during hearings.
