This position provides a great opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills to further. You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines. To be successful in this role you will have: Relevant Trade qualification plus Minimum of 1 years’ experience A passion for the food and beverage industry and a willingness to succeed in it Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy kitchen environment Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure Demonstrated ability to be able to multi task Main Duties Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations May select and train staff May freeze and preserve foods Qualification Trade Qualification Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalence Experience Previous experience: at least 1 year as chef Apply: If you satisfy the above, please apply without hesitation outlining why you are suitable.
