Where you'll be working The Mona Vale Hospital Urgent care centre What You'll Be Doing This position provides primary contact specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy service for the independent diagnosis, management, and discharge of clients presenting to the Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Mona Vale Hospital, utilising expert Physiotherapy clinical knowledge, skills and critical reasoning based on high level clinical evidence and professional development to facilitate novel solutions to complex clinical problems across the continuum of care. The position involves carrying an advanced practice clinical load and the provision of education &training to medical, nursing &allied health staff. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Current registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with demonstrated experience working as a primary contact physiotherapist in an acute setting. Current and substantial clinical knowledge of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and a high level of contemporary intervention physiotherapy skills. Must have experience at a minimum Level 2. Demonstrated ability to deliver patient education in a variety of settings (including group sessions), experience acting as a resource to other staff through provision of information, advice or an opinion. Knowledge and clinical expertise in interpretation of Xrays, casting, splinting , paediatrics and the physiotherapy management of patients with hand injuries/disorders. Need more information?
