Your Team: The Futures Trading Technology team is part of the Markets Technology division within ASX Technology. We are a trusted partner to the ASX Futures business, providing solutions that ensure a stable, efficient clearing and settlement facility for ASX’s derivatives trading business. Your responsibilities: Embedded within the Futures Trading Technology Platforms Team, you will be responsible for building and supporting critical markets infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange. You will support a combination of vendor developed and in-house developed trading software solutions in predominantly Linux environments performing build activities and providing L3 support during production incidents You will be able to build automation tooling using shell scripting or Python/Perl programming languages You will be hands-on in trouble shooting server, network or relational database related issues You will form part of a data engineering practice and community that will design and drive the adoption of standards, frameworks and best practices. You will perform Non-Functional testing in QA environments. You will work in both On-Premises and Cloud environments. Your experience and qualifications: Must have: A hands-on engineer with deep experience working in low latency, limited downtime Electronic Trading environments Practical experience with supporting complex Trading Systems in Linux environments Hands on experiencing writing Shell/Python/Perl scripts Solid understanding of network fundamentals including good network trouble shooting skills Good understanding of relational databases Experience working in Public or Private Cloud environments with a good knowledge of Virtual computing concepts Experience with Packet Capture tooling such as Corvill Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
