About Orontide Orontide is a leading Western Australian company providing specialist engineering, fabrication, preservation, and integrity maintenance services to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Naval Defence, Marine and Commercial Industries. As a result of company’s continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an Engineering Lead to join our Engineering team, located in Henderson. The successful applicant will be responsible for the establishment and leadership of the nascent Engineering Unit and its foundational technical systems Responsibilities and Key Requirements: Australian recognised Mechanical or Structural Engineering Degree, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project engineering or a similar role Lead and coordinate the planning, design, and implementation of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Manage projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety Implementing cost-effective, innovative engineering strategies to resolve challenges and meet project requirements. Mentor and provide technical guidance and support to project teams, addressing challenges and optimising goals and solutions ensuring collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and field personnel, to ensure seamless project execution Maintain clear client communication and preparation of detailed project reports, budgets, and presentations for stakeholders Manage project-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply innovative solutions to engineering challenges Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and standards Why Orontide?
