GetCareers is seeking enthusiastic candidates to undertake a Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business in Lathlain. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a hands-on, rewarding career in the construction industry, gain a nationally recognised trade qualification — Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (CPC30620) — and be paid to learn on the job. Location: Lathlain Employment Type: Full-time (5 days per week, 38 hours standard) Term of Apprenticeship: 4 years About the Role As a Painting and Decorating Apprentice, duties may include: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and repairing imperfections Remove old paint, wallpaper, or coatings Apply paint, stains, varnishes, or sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Mix paints and coatings to required specifications Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or decorative finishes Create textured or decorative effects under supervision Set up ladders, scaffolding, and protective coverings safely Follow occupational health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly Clean and maintain tools and equipment Work with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete tasks What We’re Looking For Physically capable of performing hands-on work Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic Reliable, punctual, and motivated to develop new skills through an apprenticeship Able to work effectively in a team and follow instructions Committed to completing the full term of the apprenticeship while working full-time Eligibility Criteria Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Must reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to job location Must have a Valid Driver's Licence Must have a Valid Construction White Card Must have current Police Clearance How to Apply To be considered for this opportunity, please submit the following: A cover letter stating you're applying for the "Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship” and explaining why you're interested Your current resume School results (last completed year, including Semester 2 results) Copies of any relevant certificates (e.g. Certificate II, Pre-Apprenticeship) A copy of your Driver’s Licence A copy of your Construction White Card A copy of Current Police Clearance Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply Women are encouraged to apply School leavers are encouraged to apply Please note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
