The RRM Group is a specialised Engineering and Services Corporation based in Dianella, Western Australia. It is a multi-disciplinary engineering contractor to the oil and gas, civil and industrial engineering projects. The RRM Group provides engineering and construction services such as: Engineering Designs, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Instrumentation and Piping, Offshore and Onsite Logistics, Fixed/Mobile Plan Maintenance, etc. This role has full time hours and overtime work is required on a regular basis. The base salary offered is $77,000.00 - $80,000.00 per annum plus superannuation. HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Report all incidents to your supervisor. Participate in safety training and meetings as and when required by the Safety Coordinator. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Painting scope Painting components using various techniques, including spray, roll and brush painting. Preparing surfaces by cleaning, removing old paint, fixing holes and cracks. Sanding and preparing items for painting, precise masking where required. Knowledge of various painting methods and applications Ensuring all items are ready for painting within required timelines. Keeping all equipment, environment, and tools clean and safe. Collaborate with Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure project objectives are met. Utilise painting techniques to enhance the appearance of surfaces and structures. Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, and finish selection. Choosing and preparing paints to achieve the desired colours involves blending specific amounts of pigments, oils, and additives for thinning and drying. BLASTING scope Perform abrasive blasting on steel and metal surfaces in accordance with project specifications Remove rust, mill scale, old paint coatings, grease, oil, and contaminants Achieve specified surface cleanliness standards (e.g. AS 1627 , ISO 8501-1 Sa 2½ / Sa 3 ) Produce required surface profile (anchor pattern) suitable for coating application Select and use appropriate blasting media (garnet, steel grit, chilled iron, etc.) Operate blasting equipment including blast pots, compressors, hoses, and nozzles Conduct blasting on structures, tanks, pipes, modules, vessels, and fabricated steel Perform spot blasting, full blasting, or sweep blasting as required ESSENTIAL SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS: At least 3 years of relevant work experience Training certificate in Painting or relevant trade.
