Draft for real builds in a busy manufacturing environment. On site role in Hexham with early starts. Join a growing engineering team delivering at scale. Fabrication starts long before the first cut, it starts with the drawing. You think in tolerances, weld symbols and build sequences. You want your work to move quickly from screen to steel. You will work on core designs that are refined, adapted and continuously improved as they move through an active manufacturing schedule. Collaborating closely with Engineers and the workshop to make sure every drawing is clear, practical and build ready. This is a hands on role in a busy production environment, seeing your work move quickly from model to manufacturing and you will play a key part in keeping projects on track. You will: Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings in Inventor that are ready for fabrication and assembly. Create and maintain clear BOMs, cut lists and workshop documentation. Manage drawing revisions, ECNs and document control processes. Work closely with engineers and production teams to resolve queries quickly. Refine and standardise designs to support repeat builds and ongoing improvements. Ensure drawings align with relevant standards and internal processes. You bring: Solid experience as a Mechanical Draftsperson within a manufacturing or fabrication background. Autodesk Inventor experience is essential. Strong understanding of welded assemblies, tolerances, weld symbols and GD&T. Experience working with revision control and structured document management. A practical mindset, you think about how something will actually be built. Confidence working in a production environment with multiple projects progressing at once.
