In the role of Workplace Trainer, you will provide formal technical training in the specific application and use of standards, systems, processes and tools, used by practitioners in the discipline. You will coordinate the management of the Operations Unit training program and identify training and development needs of individuals and plan to achieve results to complement business planning needs. You will manage regional capability development in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Resource Manager. Accountabilities include: • Identify, manage and deliver training in conjunction with Registered Training Organisations. • Assist in the implementation and delivery of the Work Centre's learning and development program. • Maintain an employee training program, to ensure timely advice to Resource Managers and Project Managers. • Maintain strong relationships with the team to ensure they are fully informed of training activities and needs. • Coordinate and/or deliver both accredited and non-accredited civil construction training courses. • Responsible for the management and maintenance of a register of training and assessment records. Mandatory qualifications and conditions • Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. • Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent. • A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the operational unit and/or the State. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel. Desirable requirements • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. • Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations). • Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance). • Certificate IV in Project Management.
