We are looking for Chefs and Cooks across all our locations Including Parklea, North Strathfield, Campbelltown, Wollongong, Wentworthville, Penrith, Aspley and Broadbeach. Successful candidates should have: Experience in a high volume restaurant; A Diploma in Hospitality Management or Kitchen Management (or equivalent) for Chefs or a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery for Cooks. Three years or more experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications; Good Work ethic; Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen. At Outback, we cook everything from scratch and all sauces, soups and dressings are made fresh inhouse, we do our own butchery, and make our own desserts. As a Chef, you should have extensive experience working in a brigade across multiple disciplines. Stock ordering and cost control as well as involvement with staff recruitment and training will be part of the role. Food Hygiene, and Health and Safety knowledge must be demonstrated as well as quality control of all aspects of the menu. As a Cook, you should have experience with working under the direction of Chefs, preparing and cooking steaks and other menu items as per recipe cards and ensuring appealing plate presentation.
