Recruitment Business Partner - Blue Collar Australian Defence Force Fuel Network Contract 12 Months Fixed Term At UGL, one of our most exciting long-term partnerships is the Defence Fuels Network, a national network of 100 fuel installations supporting Army, Navy and Air Force operations. UGL delivers asset management, engineering, maintenance and operations, fuel and inventory services across this network as part of a major multi year contract that continues to grow. We’ve recently taken on additional Defence Fuels sites across some of Australia’s more remote regions, which means more hiring needs and more career opportunities across the contract. That’s where you come in. About The Role We’re looking for a hands on, proactive Recruitment Business Partner for an initial 12 month term. The role is fast paced, varied and genuinely meaningful, supporting blue collar hiring for hard to fill trade and operator positions that keep Defence Fuel operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders, be part of a supportive and down ‑ to ‑ earth HR team in Perth, and have the space to bring fresh ideas, creativity and your own sourcing style. Why this role Be part of one of the most unique and meaningful contracts in Australia, fuel depots that literally keep Defence moving. You’ll be recruiting the teams that keep Defence Fuels operations running smoothly, so that the jets, helicopters, ships and land vehicles get the fuel they need to carry out major exercises, live ‑ fire training, amphibious landings, air operations and emergency response missions. Key Responsibilities Manage end to end recruitment for blue collar roles to include fitters, E&I techs, hazardous areas specialists, operators, aviation refuellers, tanker drivers, etc. Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard ‑ to ‑ fill roles. Use creative sourcing strategies such as community outreach, social media, referrals etc. Partner closely with Operations leadership to understand workforce needs and provide honest trusted advice.
