About the Opportunity This hands‑on role involves a broad range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, including: Landscaping and garden care Planting, pruning and irrigation support Grounds maintenance across multiple ECH sites Basic technical tasks such as paving installation and irrigation repairs About You This role is a great fit if you: Are currently studying or recently completed a Horticulture, Landscaping or Irrigation qualification, Are considering a career change and bring transferable skills—such as practical outdoor work experience, customer service, teamwork, or problem‑solving Enjoy being outdoors and take pride in creating welcoming, functional outdoor spaces Can work independently and as part of a team Communicate respectfully with older clients and understand the importance of their experience Hands-on experience in gardening or grounds maintenance will be highly regarded but is not essential if you bring enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and relevant transferable skills. Essential Criteria National Police Check Driver’s Licence First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling Desirable Qualification (completed or in progress) in Horticulture, Landscaping Construction or Irrigation Experience in gardening, landscaping or general outdoor maintenance Some Perks for You As a not-for-profit, ECH offers generous salary packaging—up to $18,549 tax‑free per year.
