About the role: As a Cemetery Team Member, you’ll rotate across the sites and be involved in a wide range of operational activities that support burial, cremation, grounds maintenance, and customer services. No two days are the same. One day you might be preparing a burial site, the next maintaining gardens, operating plant equipment, or assisting families and funeral directors with quiet professionalism. You’ll receive on-the-job training , support to gain licences and tickets, and the opportunity to grow your skills and progress within the organisation. What you’ll be doing: Preparing and maintaining burial and memorial sites with care and precision Manual grave digging and site dressing Operating plant and hand tools, including excavators, loaders, mowers and elevated platforms Grounds, gardens and horticultural maintenance across parklands Assisting with crematorium and mausoleum operations when required Minor repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work Working respectfully with grieving families, funeral directors and visitors Supporting team members across different work areas and sites Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental care and professionalism What we’re looking for You don’t need formal qualifications — attitude matters most . You’ll thrive in this role if you: Are comfortable with physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions Current full driver’s licence required Police history check required Hold a current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver’s licence (essential) Can work calmly, professionally and respectfully in sensitive environments Take safety, quality and environmental responsibility seriously Are flexible and open to rotating across sites and duties as required Interested?
