About the Maintenance Team The Sadleirs Maintenance Department ensures our fleet remains safe, compliant and professionally presented. We operate a clean, organised and well-equipped workshop with: Dedicated washpad and full-time washbay attendant On-site boilermaker/welder Skilled apprentices supporting the team Quality tooling and equipment This is a maintenance-focused role — no major rebuilds and no shift work. Monday to Friday schedule – be home every night. You will work in a collaborative environment where safety, accountability and professionalism are non-negotiable standards. The Role: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Sadleirs, you play a critical role in maintaining fleet reliability and compliance. Key Responsibilities Diagnose faults across heavy road transport vehicles and fleet assets Conduct servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance Prepare accurate time and repair estimates and liaise with management Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to high standards Participate in safety, compliance and incident-free culture initiatives Complete daily pre-start checks on tools and workshop equipment Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise fleet availability Undertake additional reasonable duties as required You will be working on reputable heavy vehicle brands including: Kenworth Mercedes-Benz Trucks MAN Trucks Scania What You’ll Need Trade qualification – Heavy Vehicle Road Transport preferred (Light Vehicle trades or experienced Trades Assistants willing to upskill will be considered) C Class Licence (HR Licence advantageous) Strong diagnostic capability Safety-first mindset Professional attitude and team orientation Full Australian working rights What Sadleirs Offers This is not just a job — it’s a long-term opportunity within a stable, respected business.
