About us Hawkdiesel is a well regarded truck repair business in Maddington specialising in the servicing and repair of Freightliner, Western Star and Kenworth prime movers with a particular focus on Detroit Diesel engines. Since opening in 2009 we have built our reputation on being experts on Detroit Series 60 and DD15 engines as well as Eaton Autoshift transmissions. Qualifications & experience Qualified Diesel Mechanic with experience on prime-movers. Minimum 3-5 years of prime-mover experience required. Detroit Diesel experience well regarded but not essential. Engine overhaul experience an advantage. HR licence an advantage. Basic auto-electrical skills preferred. Ability to work both solo or with others. Clean and tidy with good attention to detail. Permanent resident status required for this position. Tasks & responsibilities Diagnosing, servicing and maintaining Freightliner, Western Star and Kenworth prime movers. Overhaul, diagnosis and repairs to Detroit Diesel Series 60 and DD13/15 engines. Replacement of clutches and Eaton Roadranger gearboxes. Flexible work hours with overtime paid. Ample overtime available during the week and on Saturdays.
