Our service businesses provide conveyor belt repairs, conveyor maintenance contracts, new installs, contingency belt preparation, and a full suite of rubber lining services Position Description: Field Service Belt Splicer - Full Time and Casual positions available. Reporting to the coordinator, the belt splicers tasks will include but are not limited to: Working on customer sites Responding to any breakdown on customer sites as required Belt installation, fabric and steel cord splicing, hot and cold repairs Equipment and shutdown preparation General conveyor maintenance and inspections on conveyor belts and associated components. Knowledge and Experience : Level 1 and above belt splicer with relevant conveyor experience in all splicing, repairs, belt change outs, inserts, re-splices, equipment operation and shutdown preparation. Attitude: Strong commitment to safe work practices and adherence to site procedures Competency in belt maintenance, splicing and repairs with attention to detail and quality Reliable communication to support supervisors, coordinators and team members A positive attitude and willingness to assist across different work fronts Customer-focused behaviour and professionalism when representing Boton Initiative in identifying hazards, reporting issues and contributing to improvements Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement QUALIFICATIONS/TICKETS: Essential: Belt Splicing Qualification / Proof of Competency (hot & cold, steel cord and fabric) Construction White Card Current C-Class Driver’s Licence Obtain or willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance.
