This role provides a customer focused approach to environmental health and compliance services, ensuring operational procedures meet all statutory obligations. In this role, you will Lead a high-performing team fostering effective working relationships across the organisationProvide expert advice on environmental health and compliance, attend Development Control Unit meetings and facilitate stakeholder consultationOversee delivery of services, ensuring adherence to legislation, codes, local laws and Council policiesPrepare reports, recommendations, and budget submissions for the Executive team, Council and external agenciesResolve stakeholder issues and represent the City in court or the State Administrative Tribunal when requiredEnsure consistent, professional, and timely communication with residents, businesses and agenciesStay up to date with legislation, industry standards, and emerging trends What We Are Looking For To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate: Strong communication, organisational and customer service skills that will assist you to lead a diverse team.An ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.Highly developed ability to analyse and interpret legislation.
