About the Role We are seeking an experienced Elevator Service Technician with a passion for troubleshooting and problem-solving to join our dynamic team at BOSS Elevators . In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the safety, reliability, and performance of elevator systems across the Sunshine Coast to Discovery Coast region. As an expert technician, you’ll be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs, with a focus on quickly diagnosing and resolving issues with a wide range of elevator components. Your ability to think critically and implement effective solutions will be essential to ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with AS1735 standards. You will liaise directly with clients to understand their concerns, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional service. What you'll be doing Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on elevator systems meeting standards for monthly, annual and 5-yearly testing Diagnose & Troubleshoot Issues: Efficiently identify and resolve technical issues with components such as motors, controllers, and safety devices. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering swift, accurate solutions Carry Out Repair Work: Conduct precise repairs, replacing worn or faulty parts as needed to restore full elevator functionality and reliability. Maintain Detailed Records: Keep thorough, accurate records of all maintenance, service, and repair activities, ensuring clear documentation for compliance and future reference. Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all safety standards and regulations, upholding safety as a non-negotiable priority in every task. Provide On-Call Support: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations as part of our rotational standby roster, ensuring timely support and effective resolution of urgent issues. Liaise with Clients: Engage professionally with clients to understand their requirements, providing timely, effective solutions that reinforce our commitment to superior service. Continuous Skill Development: Participate in training events and workshops. What we're looking for Positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to safety and quality service. Minimum 5 years of experience in the elevator service industry, with superior fault-finding abilities . Queensland Electrical Licence (no restrictions). White card. Working at Heights certification (favourable but not essential). Rigging and Dogging certification (favourable but not essential). Certificate IV in WHS (favourable but not essential).
