SAP Basis Administrator | Part-Time (2 Days/Week) Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite) Security Clearance: NV1 (Active Required) Work Type: Part-time, Contract About the Role FinXL is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our Canberra-based team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking for a stable, long-term engagement (2 days per week) within a secure government environment. You will be responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of our SAP landscape to ensure high availability and security. Key Responsibilities Proactively monitor system performance and health; manage background jobs and system integrations. Oversee HANA/ASE database operations, including critical backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity. Perform system copies, client administration, and system upgrades (Kernel, SPS, and OSS Notes). Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure seamless and governed changes across the landscape. Ensure system security through rigorous patching schedules and compliance checks in line with departmental standards. Maintain high availability and disaster recovery (DR) readiness. Provide technical Basis input and subject matter expertise to cross-functional projects impacting the SAP environment. Required Skills & Experience Experience in SAP Basis Administration within a complex enterprise environment. Strong hands-on experience with SAP database operations (HANA preferred). Proven ability to manage patches and security compliance within a high-security framework. Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery planning and high-availability configuration. Ability to provide clear technical advice to project stakeholders and non-technical teams.
