The Rural City of Wangaratta is looking for a proactive and skilled Team Leader – Sealed Roads to join our dedicated operations team. You’ll lead a dedicated crew, champion safety, and ensure every project makes a lasting impact on the community. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and Deliver Maintenance & Construction Programs: Oversee the delivery of sealed road maintenance and construction works in line with Council’s strategic plans and the Road Management Plan. Ensure Site Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety standards and ensuring accurate documentation. Operate and Supervise Equipment Use: Confidently operate and oversee the use of plant and machinery including trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes, and chainsaws. Record and Report: Maintain detailed records of works completed, equipment hours, and team time sheets to support project tracking and reporting. Team Collaboration: Work closely with council teams and provide leadership and support across a variety of works and projects.
