This role is ideal for an engineer who is confident delivering projects with a level of autonomy, can lead small projects, and is competent in structural design, analysis, and documentation. You will contribute to the successful delivery of building projects across all phases; from concept design through to construction—working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. Undertake structural design and analysis across a range of materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, and prepare accurate design reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications. Contribute to the engineering delivery of small to medium projects, ensuring effective coordination across disciplines and the application of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and project delivery methodologies. Plan and manage your workload to meet project deadlines and quality expectations, while assisting with fee proposals and project planning activities. Liaise confidently with internal teams, clients, architects, and contractors, building strong relationships through clear communication and responsive service. Attend project and site meetings as required, representing NDY with professionalism. Provide guidance and on the job support to graduates and junior staff, participate in technical development initiatives within the structural discipline, and seek continuous improvement opportunities within project delivery processes. About You Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. 3–5 years’ experience in structural engineering design and project delivery. Strong skills in structural modelling and analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, Strand7 or similar). Well developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain and visually represent technical information. Ability to apply well developed problem solving skills and exercise substantial initiative and judgement to work independently and meet objectives.
