The Opportunity Step into a career-defining role as Manager - Primary Design at CPP QLD where you will play a key role in delivering high-voltage substation projects that support the growth of Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors. We are seeking an experienced engineer to build and lead CPP’s Primary Engineering and Design team. As Manager - Primary Design, you will oversee the primary design of high-voltage substations and associated infrastructure, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will lead and grow a team of engineers and drafters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar senior engineering role, a deep understanding of primary design principles, and strong leadership capabilities. If you have extensive experience with substation design and/or utility grid connections, we would love to hear from you. About You Desired Skills and Experience To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent Chartered status (or the ability to achieve upon commencement) 10 years’ experience at a senior level, including substation design and/or utility grid connections Proven experience in primary design and engineering Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing, collaborative teams Strong understanding of industry standards and client requirements Experience with renewable grid connection projects in Australia Based in QLD or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available) Be rewarded at CPP.
