Job Advertisement – Pest Control Technician (Expression of Interest) Location: Launceston, TAS Position Type: Trainee | Sub-Contractor | Part-Time (Semi-Retired Welcome) Industry: Pest Management Services We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a motivated and reliable Pest Control Technician to join our growing pest management business based in Launceston, Tasmania. We are open to flexible arrangements including a trainee, licensed sub-contractor, or part-time semi-retired technician looking to stay active in the industry. We service residential homes, commercial premises, hospitality venues, schools and government sites throughout Launceston and surrounding areas. About the Role Duties may include: General pest treatments (spiders, ants, cockroaches, rodents) End of lease and routine maintenance treatments Commercial and hospitality pest control services Providing clear communication and professional service to clients Maintaining accurate treatment records and compliance documentation Identifying pest entry points and providing prevention advice We Are Looking For: ✅ Trainee Applicants Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Good communication skills Manual driver’s licence Ability to work independently after training Police check (or willingness to obtain) Physically fit and comfortable working in roof voids and subfloors Full training and support toward obtaining pest management licensing provided for the right candidate. ✅ Licensed Sub-Contractors Current Pest Management Licence (Tasmania) ABN and relevant insurances Own vehicle and equipment preferred Strong customer service skills Reliable, well presented and organised Flexible and consistent workload available. ✅ Part-Time / Semi-Retired Technicians Previous pest control experience Current licence preferred (or recently expired with willingness to renew) Looking for flexible hours without full-time commitment Professional and dependable Ideal for someone wanting 2–3 days per week.
