About the Opportunity The Materials Officer works closely with the wider Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure material codification and cataloguing standards are met and that material information is available for use across Austal projects. The role is responsible to the Material Management Lead for the accurate and timely provision of routine codification and maintenance of inventory catalogue data. What’s Involved Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders Enact codification policy, processes, and procedures and workflows within Austal Provide obsolescence support through Supply Chain Obsolescence surveillance coordination and assessments Assist with development of Stocktaking Plan and coordination within asset management systems Maintain up-to-date part catalogue information Analyse material requirements and planning information Review and release auto-generated material requisitions against demand requirements You’ll Need 5 years experience in a similar role within Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing or Defence organisation Working experience in a computerised ERP environment Experience with, and understanding of, asset management standards, systems and processes Experience with, understanding of codification and cataloguing Ability to achieve engineering delegation within the Austal delegation procedures Why Join Us?
