As a Death Claims Technical Specialist, you’ll: provide technical expertise to support the effective, compliance and high-quality assessment of death benefit claims. Day to day, you'll: Provide technical support to the Manager, Death Benefit Claims and General Manager of Insurance and Claims on complex death claim matters and provide insights into industry practices to ensure Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is a leader in the handling of death benefit claims. Embed and drive the Quality Assurance (QA) framework in the Death Claims team, including conducting QA reviews of claims and monitoring and reporting outcomes to identify gaps and inform capability uplift. Support the Business Unit in promoting excellence in claims handling, with a focus on vulnerable members and removing barriers to access. Coach and mentor Claims Managers to build capability in risk- based decision making, claims resolution, an uplift team knowledge through training and updated resources. Proactively manage risk in line with the ART’s compliance and risk management framework, including efficiently and effectively identifying and resolving incidents and issues to achieve desired business outcomes (including root cause analysis, customer impact, control assessment, stakeholder management, and ongoing prevention).
