With strong growth and a reputation for quality, we’re now seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join our team. About the Role As a Spray Painter at BRE, you’ll be responsible for spray painting and sandblasting trailers and related equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, safety, and teamwork are key. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces (cleaning, sanding, priming) to ensure they are free from contaminants. Mix and prepare paints/coatings, ensuring accurate colour matching and correct ratios. Operate, maintain, and clean spray-painting equipment (guns, pots, hoses, ventilation). Handle, store, and dispose of paint and materials safely, in line with regulations. Use powered hand tools and related equipment competently. Maintain a clean, organised work area and complete paperwork accurately. Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements, including PPE use and hazard reporting. Participate in safety initiatives, training, and toolbox meetings. Assist with other workshop duties as required. About You We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well in a team, and has the flexibility to adapt to changing workshop priorities. Essential: Trade qualification in Automotive Painting Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy vehicle spray painting/sandblasting Strong knowledge of painting and blasting heavy vehicles Current driver’s licence Physically fit and able to complete manual handling duties Team player with good communication skills Desirable: Forklift licence Experience working with trailers or heavy equipment Flexible approach to working arrangements Why Join BRE?
