The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner. The Commis Chef will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities Engage in cooking, baking, pastry cooking, or butchering duties Assist in the day-to-day operation of the resort kitchen Read and interpret Event Orders according to exact specifications Assist the Chef de Partie with cooking and plating for functions and events Ensure food is always fresh and minimise wastage Create high-volume food items while maintaining quality standards Maintain hygienic and functional standards in the Pastry and Larder kitchen Assist with stocktake activities Follow dietary policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of dietary requirements and risks Ensure quality control of all food being served Position Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position Knowledge of food principles and best practices Passion for creating high-quality dishes Good availability Personal Qualities Strong organisational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills High attention to detail Ability to follow standard recipes Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instruction Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen
