Perth $98,899 - $113,027 per annum plus 15.4% employer superannuation contribution The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred. NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. Role: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join NOPSEMA. Working as part of the Finance and Procurement team, you’ll take ownership of the full payroll lifecycle, ensuring all activities align with legislative, taxation, and enterprise agreement requirements. This role reports to the Assistant Director - Finance and Procurement, and plays a key role in supporting payroll integrity, system efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver accurate, end-to-end payroll processing covering salaries, allowances, movements, and terminations. • Maintain compliance with APS legislative frameworks and Fair Work Act, tax, superannuation, and enterprise agreement obligations. • Maintain employee and payroll records, prepare relevant journals, and support audit and reporting activities. • Provide professional advice to employees and managers on pay, entitlements and leave matters. • Drive continuous improvement, system upgrades, and process automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency. Who are we looking for? The ideal candidate possesses the following attributes: • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing full-function payroll in a medium to large organisation. • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance reporting, and internal control processes. • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem- solving skills with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and work collaboratively with others. • Proficient in TechnologyOne (or similar payroll system) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills. • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in payroll, finance, or accounting. • Experience in the Commonwealth Public Sector and APA membership are desirable.
