Finance Officer Hensman Park Tennis Club is a successful, well established and respected community organisation committed to developing tennis. The club is centrally located in South Perth, has 300 members, 17 tennis courts and modern facilities including bar, kitchen and hall for hire. Tennis programs are run throughout the year catering for both seniors, juniors, social and competitive play. Courts are also available for public hire via an online court booking system. The Role We’re looking for a reliable and experienced person on a part-time basis to complete the finance and bookkeeping role. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the accounting and finance functions of the club. Maintain membership invoicing/registers, process creditor payments, payroll. Prepare EOM reconciliations, prepare and lodge quarterly ATO Activity statements for PAYG, GST and Superannuation. Maintain a monthly payroll run ( Engage with key stakeholders including club members, coaches, TennisWest, sponsors, court/venue hirers. Attend to general administration duties from time to time You will report to the President and also work closely with the Club Manager and volunteer members of the Club’s board of management. About You You will be personable, organised and have the ability to work with little supervision. You will be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently. You will have an interest in sporting or community organisations and preferably tennis (knowledge of membership organisations would be an advantage) You will need a good level of computer proficiency and ability to navigate online systems comfortably. Ideally you will have experience and training in the use of bookkeeping software like Reckon and online club database software (Clubspark) as well as other online systems that support the functioning of a club situation.
