You'll spearhead the end-to-end data strategy and delivery for the rollout of new Distribution Centres, owning the preparation, migration, and validation of essential data across SAP EWM, TM, ECC, and tightly integrated bespoke automation, yard management, pallet tracking, and related systems. Your work will deliver clean, compliant, and reliable data foundations that power efficient supply chain operations right from go-live. Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & Roadmap : Craft and execute a comprehensive data strategy—including detailed scoping, migration sequencing, tooling, resourcing, and timelines—to achieve project deliverables on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements & Mapping : Partner closely with business leaders, functional experts, and cross-stream teams to capture data needs, perform cross-system object mapping, establish cleansing/relevancy rules, and ensure the data model supports broader supply chain and enterprise goals. Migration Delivery : Direct hands-on execution of data establishment, extensions, and full migrations—covering extraction, transformation, loading, pre/post-validation, and quality assurance—while guiding the team to identify, analyse, and swiftly remediate defects in collaboration with developers and SMEs. Data Governance & Compliance : Champion uncompromising standards for data accuracy, completeness, security, and regulatory adherence across all project lifecycle stages from design through hypercare. Testing Support & Troubleshooting : Drive validation activities, review migration outcomes, troubleshoot integration/data issues, and provide critical support during testing, cutover, and early operations phases. Communication & Insights : Deliver concise, actionable reporting on data progress, quality KPIs, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and stakeholders. Serve as the go-to data authority, bridging technical and business perspectives for aligned decision-making. Technical Skills & Experience SAP Landscape Proficiency : Solid expertise in SAP environments (EWM, TM, ECC/S/4HANA strongly preferred), especially supply chain master and transactional data (e.g., Inventory, Procurement, Planning, Plant, Customer). Migration & Governance Leadership : Extensive track record in leading data migration programs in major ERP rollouts, with mastery of strategy, ETL tooling, mapping/transformation, validation, defect resolution, and governance frameworks. Industry Relevance : Prior exposure to distribution centre/warehouse operations and integrations with warehouse automation, yard, or tracking solutions is a strong advantage. Team & Influence : Proven capability to guide small specialist teams in fast-paced projects, combined with outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
