Maintenance Carpenter / Handyman - Commercial Sites Commercial & Retail Facilities Maintenance Location: Adelaide Employment Type: Full-Time Immediate Start Available About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Carpenter / Handyman to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial and retail facilities. Sites include petrol service stations, banks, supermarkets and government buildings , so the role suits someone who is comfortable working in live operational environments and can handle a variety of maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and reactive building maintenance Carpentry works including: Doors, locks, hinges and frames Cabinetry and minor fit-outs Minor structural repairs General handyman duties such as: Patch and paint Minor tiling and flooring repairs Fixture and fitting replacements Conduct routine site inspections and identify maintenance issues Ensure sites remain safe, compliant and well presented Complete job reports and maintenance documentation Liaise professionally with site managers and clients Requirements Carpentry trade qualification or strong experience as a maintenance handyman White Card Driver's Licence Experience working in commercial or retail environments Ability to work independently across multiple sites Strong understanding of WHS requirements Police Check Desirable Experience working at petroleum sites or government facilities Basic plumbing or multi-trade maintenance skills Experience working in live retail environments WPCG certification Compliance All work must comply with relevant regulations and standards including WHS requirements and the National Construction Code (NCC).
