Brightstar Resources is an ambitious ASX-listed gold company focused on creating value through exploration, development, mining, and production across Western Australia’s premier goldfields. We are in the early stages of developing a new gold processing facility and associated infrastructure at our site near Laverton, WA. We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Approvals Advisor to join our team. About the role: As the Senior Environmental Approvals Advisor, reporting to the Environmental & Approvals Manager and based in the heart of Subiaco with adhoc travel to site, this newly created role will play a critical part in securing the environmental and regulatory approvals that underpin our project delivery and long-term success. Key responsibilities- Lead and support Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and approvals processes to secure timely State and Federal environmental approvals. Develop strategic approvals plans and schedules to support project delivery. Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate environmental studies, Aboriginal heritage surveys, and approvals documentation. Manage approvals for operational projects, as well as PFS and DFS stage projects, including scheduling and budget tracking. Engage, manage, and review consultants delivering environmental studies and approvals documentation, ensuring quality and timeframes are met. About you: Degree qualification in Environment, Science or similar related to the role Proven experience in a similar role within a mining company or consultancy, delivering approvals for resources projects in Western Australia. A comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks (environment and heritage) and tenure/land access requirements relevant to mining project approvals. Ability to manage consultants and coordinate internal resources to support approvals delivery. Demonstrated experience providing strategic and operational environmental advice across all business levels. Skilled in using systems and tools (e.g. GIS, MS Project) to support approvals tracking, documentation, and reporting.
