About The Role We are seeking an experienced PLC Automation Engineer to support the delivery, optimisation and commissioning of automated systems across major industrial projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full automation lifecycle — from design through to site commissioning. Key Responsabilities Design, program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI and SCADA systemsDevelop and modify control philosophies, FDS and I/O schedulesSupport FAT, SAT, commissioning and site start-up activitiesInterface with electrical, mechanical and commissioning teamsDiagnose and resolve control system faults on live plantManage vendors, integrators and subcontractors where requiredEnsure systems comply with safety, quality and project standards Qualifications & Experience Degree or trade qualification in Electrical, Automation or Control EngineeringStrong PLC experience (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider or similar)Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing, utilities, or infrastructure projectsComfortable working on site and in live operational environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and a practical, delivery-focused mindsetAble to communicate clearly with site teams, contractors and clientsSCADA development experience (Ignition, WinCC, FactoryTalk, Citect, etc.)VSDs, instrumentation and industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus)Commissioning experience on large or complex projects If you have any question feel free to contact byca.recruit@bouygues-construction.com.
