About the Role Contract Resources is heading into another big year, with multiple major projects and shutdowns scheduled across Australia in 2026. Due to ongoing project demand and growth, we are looking for experienced and motivated Chemical Cleaning Technicians to join our teams on major site works throughout the year. In this role, you will be responsible for on-site execution of chemical cleaning, decontamination, and decommissioning services. This includes steaming, nitrogen purging, chemical decontamination, and acid and alkaline cleaning. Your hands-on experience and technical skills will ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, preferably within Oil & Gas operations. Experience with Contract Resources is a plus. While chemical cleaning is the main focus, there may also be opportunities to support other CR services, such as pressure cleaning, site support, and tank cleaning. Duties will include but not limited to Working in a team under the direction of the site supervisor while demonstrating safe work practices. Setting up, operating, and demobilising chemical cleaning equipment safely and tidily, including steaming, nitrogen, and liquid circulation skids. Selecting and using correct hoses, fittings, and installing anti-static/earthing straps. Executing chemical sampling, testing, and decontamination procedures accurately. Reporting observations, incidents, and near misses according to CR requirements. Supporting a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team environment. Maintaining professional presentation, punctuality, and demeanour on site. Participating in toolbox talks, pre-starts, and HSE briefings while identifying and mitigating hazards. Following all safety, hygiene, and chemical handling protocols. Requirements & Experience Needed 2 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Experience in steaming, nitrogen, or other chemical cleaning/decontamination services. Offshore facility experience is favourable. Boiler Operator or Boiler Attendant ticket is favourable. Flange Management Training (advantageous). Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years – essential). Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years – essential). Gas Test Atmosphere certificate (within 2 years – essential). Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable). Current Drivers License (highly desirable). High Risk Work License (advantageous).
