THE OPPORTUNITY This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced external auditor to step into a broader corporate advisory environment. Rather than a narrow “tick and flick” audit role, you’ll gain exposure to advisory-focused engagements that add real value to clients. You will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships. Travel will form part of the role, however expectations around hours are realistic and sustainable. This position is suited to someone ready to step into (or continue in) a Senior Auditor capacity within a firm that genuinely invests in its people. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, manage and execute external audit engagements Lead fieldwork and oversee completion of audit files Review work completed by junior staff and provide technical guidance Mentor and develop team members Build and maintain strong client relationships Communicate findings and reporting outcomes to senior leadership Identify opportunities to add value through advisory insights EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED CA qualified or near completion Experience within an Australian professional accounting firm Strong external audit background across a range of client types Demonstrated experience delegating, reviewing and mentoring staff Ability to work autonomously and apply commercial judgement Strong organisational skills and a proactive work ethic Excellent written and verbal communication skills Driven and ambitious candidates with slightly less experience are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong technical capability and the right attitude.
